The second Finnish Pcocess-SME between large companies and SMEs was held in Oulu on 21st of March 2018. The workshop targeted at companies operating in the fields of the steel and forest industries.

After the opening speech of Project Manager Seppo Saari, the specialists from Outokumpu, Stora Enso and Efora informed SMEs on their general supply criteria for subcontracting and experiences related to servitization. On the other hand, motived and inquisitive SME participants have a great opportunity to introduce themselves and the firms’ possibilities to serve large companies, and to build up joint SME consortiums in order to increase business operations in the steel and forest markets.
At the end of the meeting, the representatives of SMEs had a great chance to discuss business opportunities with the specialists of large companies in face-to-face meetings. The workshop considered, once again, very informative and cooperation-oriented for the future purposes. Next, the series of workshops will continue with joint Nordic meeting at the end of spring.
